Yes you can, although not from within Acrobat itself. You can use an external image editing program for round trip editing.
You need to select a program first. Choose Edit > Preferences > TouchUp to open the panel. Click Choose Image Editor to open a browse dialog box. Locate the program file, such as photoshop.exe, and click Open. Click OK to close the preferences.Next, select the TouchUp Object tool on the Advanced Editing toolbar. If you prefer, choose Tools > Advanced Editing > TouchUp Object tool and select just the tool rather than opening the toolbar.Follow these steps:
1. Click the image with the TouchUp Object tool to select it. You'll see the image framed with a box. 2. Right-click/Control-click to open the shortcut menu and choose Edit Image. 3. Your image opens in the image editor specified in the preferences as a temporary file. Make the changes you want to the image, such as straightening or cropping it. 4. Click "X" at the top right of the image window in your editing program, and click Yes to save the changes. You won't see a separate file listed or stored anywhere if you have made changes that don't affect the layer structure of the image. 5. Return to Acrobat. You'll see the image is now modified.
If you have to make changes that require manipulating the image's layers, you'll have to save the image with a separate name, but can then replace the image on the pdf page.
