Inserted page different width

I have created a pdf form using Acrobat X Pro, leaving all of the document properties at their default settings. When I insert a new page, either from a Word file or another pdf, it comes in with a slightly narrower width to the rest of the document.
 
As an Acrobat newbie, I'd be grateful for any suggestions.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 10.1, Windows

The page settings (size and margins) in Word for the added page are the same as those in the document that the original pdf was created from.
