I got a great suggestion for displaying a blank email screen in an interactive PDF. (Create button, action="submit a form", mailto: as the URL). I can't seem to figure out how to get it to not include an attachment- it wants to attach a form and I just want to have a blank email screen pop up. Any ideas? Many thanks! It needs to be cross platform.

Try this javascript on a mouse up action:

app.mailMsg(true, "yourname [at] yourisp [dot] com", "","","SQL form info request","Please enter detailed information about your SQL database programing problem.");

When I'm in Acrobat Profession 7.0.9 and I click on email attachment, the mail box begins to show and then it freezes up and the "Microsoft has determined an error, do you want to send error report" box comes up. I've detected and repaired several times. Should I reinstall Acrobat 7.0 again? Any ideas. Outlook Express is listed as my default email program in Internet Explorer Program tab. weldon

I think the problem is with Outlook Express and not Acrobat.

Try one of these solutions:

(1.) Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, or Windows 20001.
Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type outlook.exe /safe , and then click OK.
This starts Outlook in safe mode without extensions, the preview pane, or toolbar customizations and could indicate a damaged profile or conflicting third-party application or add-in.

(2.) Your Outlook Express settings may be incorrect. Check to make sure the SMTP server has not been misspelt as stmp.

(3.) You could have missing or corrupt information in the user information for a particular account. Click Tools> Accounts> Properties and delete then re-type the user name and email address, even if they appear correct. If the problem persists, remove the account, close and re-open OE, then create the account again.(4.) Most crashes and failed starts are the result of one or more of OE's *.dbx files being damaged, or being marked as Read-only. So begin trouble-shooting by verifying none are marked as Read-only.

Close OE and open the store folder in Windows Explorer.
Select all files (Edit| Select All, or CTRL-A), then right-click on any selected file and select Properties. Clear the checkbox for the Read-only attribute.

If none of these solutions work, I suggest updating Outlook Express to Outlook 2000 or 2007. Since you didn't mention which version of Outlook Express you're using, I assumed it is version 5.
