Hello,

I am making a PDF document with lots of links for my work.
Need to create a link to files that are on the network at work located on the R drive.

When making this link to file I get the message this drive does not excist and therefore Acrobat will not take the link to file.

This seems silly... anyone know how to resolve this?

thx

Hi --

Acrobat is doing its job by not completing your initial link to a location it can't determine. It's time-consuming, but why not make a link to someplace local on your machine? Once the link is made, you can double-click it to open the properties and type the network location.

Hi Donna,

Well I don't know if I agree to Acrobat doing it's job. Using the program to do something for a third party should be ok as I puchased it officially.

However if I can work around the error, that's a good solution.
But... if I double-click to open the properties I just go the file I linked and not to the link properties, so I can't manage the chane.

Perhaps you can explain, I'm a newby here.

thx
