Link Tool issue-open file....

We've noticed over here in our group that the Link Tool will not open a file (*.jpg) if it is version 9.3.4 but if your using any version below that, the Link Tool will open a *.jpg file for you. It seems the latest version of Acrobat does not know which APP to use to open the *.jpg file, while the older versions of Acrobat list "c:\windows\system32\Shimgvw.dll" and then the *.jpg file opens. Any ideas how to fix this?

I think this is the result of closing a potentially dangerous "feature" in Acrobat/Reader that allowed a link to launch a file. As such, I don't think there's a way around it.
