hallo,

I am looking for a way to keep my links inside a pdf document after I ve changed for e.g. the structure of the document (added a page). for now I have to relink all the links inside the pdf, and that is a ton of work each time. so is there a way to make acrobate remember the specific page of the document instead only the pagenumber??

any help would be great!

thanks

You can edit original authoring documents for content and use the Replace Pages command to replace the old page containing links with the new page you edited in the authoring program.

However, if you insert a page, unfortunately the links are made to absolute references and everything gets pushed rendering your links inactive. You'll need to reassign link locations for documents when you insert pages.

An alternative is to use Named Destinations instead of links. Be aware though that Destinations add a lot of overhead to your file sizes.
