I received a 40 page catalog in pdf format with a table of contnts (toc). I was able to set up the toc with links to the correct pages. How do I get back to the toc without editing all 40 files.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you...

Hi JohnL,
Something to consider (for a 40 page, single PDF) -

Configure the PDF to open with Bookmarks pane showing.
File > Properties > select Initial View tab
Then, in the Layout and Magnification pane, for "Navigation tab:" select "Bookmarks Panel and Page"
Save the PDF. Close the PDF. Re-open the PDF. The Bookmarks Panel will display on the left.
Now, go to the first page of the TOC. Add a Bookmark (Document > Add Bookmark). Name the Bookmark.
Save the PDF.

When the PDF is open and you are anywhere in the file's content just click on the "TOC" Bookmark to return
to the TOC's first page.

Although some 'link work' may be called for; if 40 PDF files then consider combining into a single PDF or a PDF Package.

Be well...

Thank you very much. That solved part of the problem. I had hoped that people could open it in full screen mode and still be able to get back to the toc. But I guess that is not to be.

I don't know what a PDF package is. And I don't know how I could do it as a single PDF.

And I miss spoke (typed) there are 84 pages in the catalog.

Again, thank you...

John,
Play with File > Combine Files...
& look over the info in Acrobat Help.
"Combine Files" is a nice feature.
