Hi NG,
If we start a PDF document from this page: [link=http://www.bl.uk/services/document/sed.php]http://www.bl.uk/services/document/sed.php[/link] then the plugin is first loaded and the user see an empty acrobat window (this if the Plugin is not installed on the machine). But now if the user want to see a PDF document, then he must click the link again! Is there any way to load a plugin into Acrobat before the user click on the link (a small C++ or NET application)?
Note: We have only one license to read a reserved PDF document. If the user click on the link, then is the license used, that's no problem, but if the Plugin is not installed on the machine, they lost the license (Acrobat load plugin and shows an empty window).
For suggestion thanks a lot.

When you select this link it is not loading a plug-in; it is loading Adobe Digital Editions. I would suggest that you tell customers to install Adobe Digital Editions first before selecting the link. To answer your question, it is not possible to have a plug-in load before the application.
Hope this helps,
Lori
