lost pan window

This may be silly, but it might be an easy one too- when reading a document in Acrobat 8 Pro, I noticed that a small window with a dark gray border had appeared in the upper right corner, which displayed the entire page and brightened the part of it I was zoomed into. I could click the brightened box and pan around very conveniently. It was similar to the Pan & Zoom Window, except that it didn't seem like one could use it to zoom (just pan) and it had a much less distracting appearance (the dark gray Acrobat 8 box, similar to the window that pops up next to the scroll bar when scrolling, or the dark gray navigation pane). It stayed in the upper right corner, and was very convenient. However, I have no idea what exactly what it was called or how to get it back. Can you help?

Hi camerontd,

I believe that you're referring to the Scrolling Pages toolbar. You can place it on the menu toolbar or tear it off to stand alone. To locate it, right-click on the toolbar menu --> More tools. It's located under the Select & Zoom toolbar.Hope this helps,
Lori
