Mac vs. Windows Acrobat 9

I attended the Oct 15 online seminar for Acrobat 9. I asked about the differences between Mac and Windows versions of Acrobat 9, and received a response from Steven who was answering questions asked in the online session (or was it Stephanie?) that if I sent my email address, they would send me the comparison document between Mac and PC Acrobat 9.

During the seminar, Ted spoke about several differences between the Windows and Mac versions.

I sent my email address, but as of today (October 23), I haven't received any document.

Can you tell me who I should contact to have the comparison document sent to me? Thanks.

I've been waiting for a response for two weeks (in order to purchase Acrobat 9) so I have a clear understanding of the differences between the Mac and Windows Acrobat 9 versions. Can someone help or point me to a detailed list of the differences between the two versions?

This is not an official answer, and may not be absolutely precise. You may look at the product comparison sheet as well.

On Mac, you get only Acrobat 9 Professional (no Standard, no Extended).

Mac Professional does not include LiveCycle Designer (IMHO not a big loss, but there would be better ways to handle that issue...), and it does not include the MS-related PDFMakers (Office, IE, etc.).

If you are a creative pro and need the transcoding functionality for the Flash integration, I have heard that Flash Pro does contain them, and with that, you would get the "Mac-available" features for Acrobat Pro Extended (the other components of Extended are of no or limitied use on Mac because they are primarily integration with other applications (PowerPoint, 3D software).

Max,

I was specifically told a document would be emailed to me by one of the supporting Adobe experts at the October 15 online session. I know the higher level items that are not included in the Mac, but Ted covered several items in the online session where he said "this is only available in Windows".

I don't know all the supporting Acrobat experts who were handling the questions during the October 15 sessions, if someone else could point me to the person who would know, that would be great.

There were other people at the October 15 session who asked the same question. I didn't think it would be so challenging to get a response.
