Hi:
I've got some pdf scans of letter-sized documents that when I try to OCR them I get the error:
Error message:
--------------------------------------------------
Acrobat could not perform recognition (OCR) on this page because:
This page is larger than the maximum page size of 45 inches by 45 inches
--------------------------------------------------
Here are the document properties:
--------------------------------------------------
PDF Producer Mac OSX 10.4.11 Quartz PDFContext
PDF Version: 1.6 (Acrobat 7.x)
File size: 317.12 KB
Page size: 35.42 x 45.83 in.
Tagged PDF: no
Page 1: Color image 2550. x 3300. pt 72.0 RGB (ICC) transparent
Page 2: Color image 2550. x 3300. pt 72.0 RGB (ICC) transparent
---------------------------------------------------
From above, changing 72.0 to 300.0 yields page dimensions of 8.5 in x 11.0 in (2550/300 = 8.5, 3300/300 = 11.0). But I don't know how to force the resolution change.
Anybody know how to convert this document to normal dimensions?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Running Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.1.6
Windows XP SP3
Just nattering, but -
From the information you've provided it appears that, while the source paper is letter size, the application that is in immediate control of the scanner (the scanner driver) is feeding Acrobat a page size that is not 8.5 x 11.
A look at this driver's configuration as well as the Acrobat Preset's configuration (if used) may be useful.
