I review large PDF documents-2000 pages--medical records--is there a way to search and segregate all typewritten pages other then going through entire document page by page?
I use windows XP duo core--high ram and processor speed
If the typewritten pages were converted to PDF without running OCR (Optical Character Recognition) then what you are seeing are images of the text.
Try this. Open the document in Acrobat. Click Document, OCR Text Recognition, Recognize text using OCR. If this works, the images have been recognized as text and you'll be able to search the doc. Otherwise, you'll have to re-scan all the typewritten docs using File, Create PDF, from scanner.
