Missing Network Drives in Acrobat Professional

I have a couple of users running Vista that have drive letters mapped to a server that are visibile in Windows Explorer but not in File, Open dialog box of Acrobat Professional v8. If you double-click on a PDF file in Windows Explorer from a mapped drive to open the file you get a pop-up error stating "There was an error opening this document. This file cannot be found."

Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Brett

Are you opening these PDFs from another application (i.e., VB) or just directly from within Acrobat? Generally this error is associated with opening a PDF from another application. There is more detail on this error in the following FAQ.

The issue occurs directly within Acrobat. When the user clicks File and Open none of the mapped drives appear. They can access networked PDF files via a UNC path, but not via their mapped drives.

Additionally, when they are in Windows Explorer and double-click on a file they get the "There was an error opening this document. This file cannot be found." erro message.

If you create a new administrator account on these machines does this error still occur?
