I am using Windows Acrobat Pro 8.X.
Also am new to Acrobat.
Trying to move pages but need to get to thumbnail view.
How do I get the pages of my PDF to show in thumbnail view?
The help panel in Acrobat says:
Click the Pages button to open the Pages panel, and select one or more page thumbnails.
I can't find either the Pages button or the Pages panel.
Can you help.

Acrobat Pro 8.1.6, Windows

Typically, with a PDF open, the Navigation buttons are present (left side).
The Page icon's default position is at the top.

When the Navigation buttons are present you can put the mouse cursor in the 'band' where the buttons are present, right click and, from the context menu, select "Hide Navigation Panel Buttons". Right click again to select "Show Navigation Panel Buttons".
However, if the buttons are hidden and the PDF is closed & then opened they are again present.
So, the "hide" is not persistent.

You might try View > Navigation Panels > Reset Panels
If the Navigation panel is present but the Pages button is not present then try this:
In View > Navigation Panels you can select Navigation buttons; select Pages.
Initially, a floating palette appears. To dock it in the Navigation panel, select the button's name then click-drag into the Navigation Panel.
