Named destinations - caching problem?

I have a pdf with many named destinations in it. I want to link to these different named destinations from an html page.

This is all fine as I use the format:
[link=http://mywebsite.com/xstrata/pdf/commentary.pdf#nameddestination1]http://mywebsite.com/xstrata/pdf/commentary.pdf#nameddestination1[/link]
in my html pages to link to different named destinations in the pdf.

However, after viewing a section of the pdf I've followed a link to from my html, when I use the back button to go back to my html page and click on a different link to go to a different part of the pdf, very often I'm taken to the previous point in the pdf, i.e.

if the previous destination I clicked to was
[link=http://mywebsite.com/xstrata/pdf/commentary.pdf#mining_overview]http://mywebsite.com/xstrata/pdf/commentary.pdf#mining_overview[/link]

this is where I'm taken rather than where I've actually clicked, eg

[link=http://mywebsite.com/xstrata/pdf/commentary.pdf#md_minerals]http://mywebsite.com/xstrata/pdf/commentary.pdf#md_minerals[/link]

This is presumably some form of caching. Is there any way around this?

Thanks
D

Hi zuzuspetals,

Depending on the version of Acrobat you're using, you may have encountered a bug that exists in IE for Acrobat/Reader 7.0.7. This works fine in FireFox. Good news, the bug was fixed in 7.0.8, so you will want to get the patch.

Hope this helps,
Lori
