I'd like to hear from others that are creating PDFs with navigation similar to a website.
Here's a file that I created: https://it.usu.edu/fact/files/uploads/OSTT2.pdf. It should be opened in Adobe Reader.
It is configured to open on the last page when the file opens. This page has instructions for users on how to navigate by clicking on tabs and buttons that are linked to other pages. It also has a button that is linked to a Microsoft Word file. This file is a design template that users can download and modify to create their own PDF.
Anyone else out there working on similar uses of PDF files?
Cheers,
George

You can create links, buttons, and bookmarks that go to files. pages, destinations. You can even use JavaScript to control the interaction between PDFs. You need to be aware about how PDFs are structured and how Acrobat JavaScript works. Adobe has freely downloadable file for the PDF standard and JavaScript API Reference.
