I am editing a large PDF (110MB) with Acrobat Pro 8.1.6 to add links and buttons for cross references. After using Find to locate related text, navigation and zoom tools stop working, locking the display on the page with the Find hit. Interestingly, navigation commands will change the page number, but the page image does not change. After I close and re-open the PDF, no ill effects are detected. Has anybody expereinced this problem or resolved it?

one file of 110 mb ?? Far too large! What is the subject material of your file? I'd suggest you divide the file into logical parts and integrate the parts with bookmarks and hyperlinks, etc. (I'd limit a single file to no greater than 20 mb) If the users need searchability, create an index (aka 'catalog') so that the pkg can be efficiently searched in a variety of filters. You are embarked on a complex process. Perhaps you should consult with your friendly neighborhood Acrobat pro.
