I am trying to archive information in some old membership record books. My thought is to take good photos of each page (photocopying is not an answer here) then put the jpg images on a disk.

My concern is the best method of doing this. If I used Acrobat Standard 8.0 could I import the images and organize them that way?

I'd like to page through them for informational retrieval, but do not need to index them -- they will be chronological or alphabetical.

You can import JPG images into Acrobat. If you add metadata to the PDF then you'll find that information retrieval will be much easier. For more information on metadata in Acrobat, check out Donna Baker's article at:
