Newbie Question: Creating a pdf from user input from a menu?

Hi All,

Big-time newbie here. I'm trying to do something that I've never seen done elsewhere.

Basically, I have a large 'menu' of content that I want to present to my users, who could then pick and choose what they like to create a document containing a subset of that content.

Is there a way of doing this using something in the Acrobat family of producs?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 8.0, Windows

It's probably possible to do this using forms in Acrobat, but I'm not sure it's a good idea.
Is this "content" just plain text, or are there graphics and formatting involved as well?

If your users have Reader it is very restrictive. You might want to look at a server based programing solution. One possible solution is iText

The content I have is rows from a table w / some formatting. I may end up just doing this in Excel and seeing if I can make the outcome print-friendly.

Thanks for your insights.
