NitroPDF taged files

I used NitroPDF at one time but have since removed the program. When I download .pdf files, the type is shown as nitroPDF. How is this problem resolved?

Further, when a progam needs to use Acrobat, it states it cannot find it on my system and prompts me to down load it. I have 9.2 installed.
