NOT ABLE TO CONNECT TO SCANNER

ADOBE 8 WILL NOT LOCATE OUR SCANNER. THE SCANNER IS HOOKED UP PROPERLY AND THE SCANNER SOFTWARE HAS BEEN DOWNLOADED ONTO THE COMPUTER. SUGGESTIONS?

Hi designalchemistry,

Without knowing your operating system environment and scanner I can only recommend some general troubleshooting tips:
- Can you scan from other applications?
- Have you tried the Windows Image Acquisition driver if available (Windows) instead of the TWAIN?
- If you're using a TWAIN device, have you tried updating to the latest version and reinstalling (it's possible that the driver is missing or damaged).
- If you've successfully scanned before with Acrobat 8 you can try creating a new user account with admin privileges and then rescanning. It's possible that the user account is corrupt.
