Not allowing me to save changes in reader

I am trying to save some documents that have some form fields. I need these to be password protected and then editable once the password has been entered.

The forms are originally from Indesign. The fields have been generated in Acrobat 8 Professional on a Mac.

When I export and open in an acrobat reader it will not allow me to save the changes I make when I have filled out the fields either with or without password protection on the document.

I am at a loss as I have made all the editing allowed on the document. The weird thing is when I open in Preview it allows me to edit the document and save it when there is no password on it but in acrobat it wont allow me password or not.

HELP!!!

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8.0, Macintosh

You will have to enable Extended Reader Rights.

Thanks for the help. I have now made up a load of fillable forms for reader. The problem now is that my client cannot fill in the form with Reader 7 while it works here on Reader 8. Is this a known issue?

Has your client update their Adobe Reader to version 7.0.9?

Be well...
