Optimize Scanned PDF batch file

I am a noob first off.

I am scanning a large amount of files with SCANALL Pro and then saving them as either grayscale or monochrome depending on content.

Then i am opening up adobe 9 standard and then individually clicking optimize scanned pdf one at a time wich is a pain... to make the file smaller and deskewed and then I run the reduce file size and it allows to pick multiple files as once.

I know there is a way to do it and have tried to read the forum some and saw where to download some scripts and other add ons but didnt see one that specifically relates to what i am doing. I run both programs as that way i can scan and do the pdf processing at the same time and get it done quicker at least thats what i was thinking.

Thanks
Phillip Byrd

Donna Baker details how to do this with Acrobat Pro. in her tutorial Optimizing a PDF Document. At the bottom of the tutorial she mentions the following:

Quote:
Do you need to apply the same optimization settings to a number of files? Once in a while or on a regular basis? Do you have a number of files that need optimizing right now? Customize a collection of settings in the PDF Optimizer and click Save in the dialog to name and save the settings. The next time you need to optimize a file using the same settings, you'll find that the custom settings are included in the Preset menu for you to select. You can remove your custom settings as well. Simply select the setting's name from the Preset menu and click Delete. If you find you are optimizing files on a regular basis, include output options in a batch sequence instead.

I think that is for the Pro Version and I only have the standard at the moment.

Otherwise that would work and i might have to do that at a later date...

thanks for the link info though
