Page Thumbnail Preview

Hi! While reading a document I unknowingly activated a Page Thumbnail Preview on the upper right hand side of the document. It showed the current view area in light and hidden page area in dark shade. On placing cursor over it and scrolling, I could zoom in and out.
 
After closing acrobat it also vanished. Upon checking on net all I could find was that it looked similar to Page Thumbnail Preview and behaved somewhat like Pan and Zoom.
 
Can someone tell me what is it called and how to activate it again?
That would be of great help.
