PDF Full View Presentation questions

Due to some workflow restrictions, we need to create a slide deck in PDF instead of PPT. The PDF will be exported from InDesign. A few snags we're running into that we're wondering if there are work-arounds for:

1) When transitioning from one slide to the next slide which includes an embedded video, can you have the video automatically play?

2) When the above-mentioned video is done playing, can you have the slideshow automatically move to the next slide?

3) Aside from creating individual nearly-identical slides with lines of text added for each bullet point, is there a way to mimic PPT's individual line transitions to reveal text line-by-line?

Thanks in advance.

Just a thought - have you looked at Adobe Presenter?

1) yes, by setting the properties of the video annotation in Acrobat once the PDF has been created.

2) yes, but only if you use a custom video player widget and some JavaScript to react to the playback events, again this would have to be done in Acrobat after the PDF has been exported.

3) not realistically. You could use layers but animating them on and off isn't a practicable solution, as they won't react to the keyboard and mouse.

Thanks, guys. I did fiddle with the PDF and try a number of things to get the video to begin playback upon entering the slide, but it seems to require a mouse or keyboard entry instead. And I'm not the best at javascripting since I'm more of a hack (copy and paste somebody else's to adapt to our needs!). Your input does confirm the limitations I thought we might be up against. Thanks for the posts.
