PDF Optimizer question

Afternoon folks. Here's a quick question on configuring PDF Optimizer. In the 'Clean Up' window, the selection 'Optimize PDF for Fast Web View' is grayed out. I've tried a variety of settings with no luck. Any idea why this option is grayed out?

Windows xp pro sp2
Acrobat 7.0

Thanks

Does this PDF have security?

Have you tried other PDF files?

There is no security on the document. I have tried other files with the same result. All these files where created from a Kodak i640 scanner, OCR in Omnipage 15 Pro and vetted in Acrobat 7 Pro. We process around 5000 files per year, so I would very much like to use the Optimizer for bulk processing. I'll look further to see if there are files that don't trigger this odd behaviour, of if the problem occurs on other computers.

I will assume that the reason it is grayed out is that it already is optimised and inside the PDF the flag is set to yes.

If you open the PDF, then go under the File menu, then select Document properties, in the Description tab, in the lower it probably says "Fast Web View: Yes

Hope this helps.

That is odd since if a typical file is already set for fast web view then you should still be able to select under the clean-up section?

Is the main check box on the left of Clean up selected?

Otherwise, try other files which were not processed through your Kodak scanner.
