Have a PDF page that shows as empty with nothing on the page when viewed in Acrobat pro 9.3.1
Open this same file in Acrobat pro 8.2.1 and the page is full of type.
What could be causing this to display and print this way?

Thanks

Do you have the following preference set in Acrobat 9, Edit > Preferences > Page Display > "Show large images"? If so, can you post an example? Acrobat.com has a free service to post files.

Yes, this option is checked in Acrobat 9. The page in question is not an image/scan.
Tried uploading to acrobat.com but it errors at upload stage on mac or pc for me.

Yep…
Try to optimize using Acrobat 8 > Advanced menu > Optimize
If optimizing can't solve the issue you should try to "refry" the PDF (using Distiller or the AdobePDF virtual printer).

Auctually just opening the page in 8 and saving it fixes whatever is wrong.
What I need to understand is how to tell something is wrong when viewing in acrobat 8. Since 8 displays the page contents but when viewed in 9, or PDF library 9 is used, the page shows blank. What is making 9 so sensitve when 8 could deal with it?
