PDFMaker Files Missing

Hello:

I'm running Acrobat Pro 8, Windows Vista Ultimate, and Microsoft Office 2007.

My Acrobat was working fine up until last week. When I try to convert to a PDF, I receive the following message:
Missing PDFMaker File. Do you want to run the installer in repair mode?

I click Yes, it goes through its process and that didn't help. I still receive the same message.

I uninstalled Acrobat. I then tried to reinstall. During the re-install, I receive a message: Installed Failed. No reason as to why.

But, when I go to my list of Programs, Acrobat 8 appears. I try to open it and it opens with no problem. When I try to convert again, the same message about the PDFMaker files appears.

Does anyone know how I can fix this? Is there a way to download the PDFMaker files?

Thanks for the help.

You will have to wait for Adobe to update version 8 for Vista and Office 2007. See Support's Knowledge Base article on Adobe Support for Vista.

Acrobat 8 (8.1) can be used in Vista and with Office 2007 (...been using this on a laptop with no problems)

Acrobat version 8.1.2, the current updated verson of version 8, supports Office 2007 and Vista.

You will also have to enable the COM addin.

MicroSoft also has a "Save As PDF" add-on product.
