pdfs embedded in html files cover drop down menus

I am trying to embed a pdf file in my web page.
Unfortunately, the pdf covers my drop-down menu. I use the and html statements with wmode="transparent" as has been recommended to me, and this works with flash files embedded in my html in a similar manner, but not with pdfs. Can you help me?? I would love to use pdfs in my web page, but will have to drop it if I cannot get the menus to drop down over the pdf.

Thanks.

If the drop down menu is in HTML, then any issue with it being able (or not) to draw over the PDF is an issue with the web browser and not Acrobat/PDF. Acrobat/PDF only control the PDF area, nothing outside it.
