I'm running Acrobat Pro 8.2.5 under Vista on a Dell Inspiron 420 XPS.
If I try to open a PDF either under IE or on my hard drive, it takes up to fifteen minutes for Acrobat to open. Sometimes my system freezes during this time. Restarting doesn't help. I thought there might be a conflict with an update of Reader, so I uninstalled Reader. No difference. Now I just leave crobat open all the time, but there are still problems on restarting. What to do?
An installed anti-virus program may be "checking" each PDF when you access it.
