since I updated to Adobe X, I have been getting a pop-up box in the middle of video boxes or section stating that some application (usually the app hosting the video) is requesting permission to store information on my computer. Requested up to 10KB (sometimes requesting as much as 100KB), currently using 0KB (sometimes as much as 10 KB). This is followed by two 'choices': allow and deny.
I always hit deny. Sometimes the video continues to play and the box remains up until the video is finished. Sometimes the box accepts the deny answer and closes down before the video finishes.
(a) what is this and why would I allow any foreign app to store anything on my computer?
(b) how do I change the settings to never allow storage?
(c) how do I check the computer to determine whether apps are already using storage.
Please help! Tonight I got a message from Microsoft Windows saying that my computer is low on memory and I am assuming this is a result of this storage issue.
Thanks, L. Lubin
As Llubin says sometimes it responds to the deny button, other times it doesn't. Most annoyingly it comes up in my InDesign tutorial videos.
Any advice gratefully received.
