I have a window that pops up all the time I open anything (word, excel, web browser etc...) It was working fine until I backed up my files to an external hard drive. It says, "please wait until windows configure adobe acrobat 7.0" The problem is I do not have my Disk and it's asking me in insert it. Adobe customer service is charging $39 for a 30 second fix and they said it has something to do with Registry. Can anyone help?, I bought this disk for a couple of hundred dollars from best buy so ALL is legal with my software. I just have to click cancel 6 times until it stops. It get's annoying.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 7.0.0, Windows

Check for virus. Turn popups off in your web browser.
Uninstall Acrobat 7.0. Make sure its completely uninstalled by checking the systems registry for any reference to Acrobat 7.
Re-install Acrobat 7, download the updates and register the software.

If your version of Acrobat is a clone, disregard these instructions.

Thanks, mine is not a clone, I just lost the disk. I hate to uninstall this and buy another one. It's also registered in my name with adobe.

It pops up even with out a browser open. Say for example in word or excel it pops up and it takes 6 "cancel clicks" Adobe customer service said it's a 30 second fix and it's $40.

I appreciate your email.

Have you tried a system restore back to the date before you backed up the files?
