I've just installed Adobe Reader 9 and every time I try to print a pdf, whether it's from a Cd or a file, my printer (Epson SX200) always goes to "Best Photo,Glossy paper, user defined size". I want it to always select "plain paper, fine, A4". I have to change these settings every time I print a pdf. How can I change this? I've saved the settings I want to use in the printer but every time I go to print a pdf, the settings have changed.
Just some thoughts of things to check.
--| Are the Epson drivers fully up to date?
--| Have you configured the Properties for the Epson?
"Best Photo", "Glossy paper", etc. are being determined by the Epson printer's drivers and not Adobe Reader.
From Adobe Reader you have an open PDF.
You initiate a "print" job.
The Print dialog opens.
In the Printer pane of the dialog (top) change the "Name" to the Epson printer.
Click on the Properties button at the right of the "Name" selection.
The "Epson Stylus .... Properties" dialog opens.
In this dialog, select the Main tab.
In the Quality Option pane, select Draft or Text or Text & Image as appropriate.
In the Paper Options tab, select appropriate values for Source, Type, and Size.
Check the Orientation pane (lower right) values.
Check the Advance dialog's setup. Click the Advanced button (lower right).
Click Continue.
Review each pane (Paper & Quality Options, Orientation, Print Options)
Change values as needed.
Click OK.
The above summarizes what I see in the Epson printer properties for my Epson printers and what's in the web based help file for the NX200.

Once loaded, click on Print From Your Computer > Windows Printing in the Contents panel at the left.Just a note. A quick web search turned up reviews of the SX200 on some UK & Europe sites.
However, I cannot locate "SX200" at epson.com. Perhaps it is now the NX200?
If so, then driver updates may be called for.
