Can anyone tell me if there is a way to a) print a table of bookmarks and b) have the bookmarks correspond to page numbers of a document?

Adobe has posted a PDF and sequence files of some sample batch sequences that includes some functions for processing bookmarks that includes a process for printing a report of their name.

You assume that all bookmarks correspond to a go to page action, and this is not true because bookmarks can have many types of actions beyond going to a specific page.

Hi blocey,

You really should start a new thread for new questions unrelated to this thread but...

Open the file in Acrobat, go to File ->Properties, and under the Initial View tab set "Navigation Tab" to Bookmarks Panel and Page. Save.Hope this helps,

I am a newbie and am trying to tutor myself quickly. In regards to printing bookmarks - how can I set specific pages to print for each bookmark? For example - I bookmarked "USA Region" and if I want the user to be able to print just those pages related to the "USA Region", how do I do this?

I know I can do print preset however, the issue is that it defaults the entire PDF document to that preset. What I want, is to do a print preset for each bookmark. Is this possible?

Kind regards,
PC

I am trying to set up a large PDF with bookmarks so that just the bookmarked section can be printed. The pdf was created by scanning paper. I have used Ctl + B and dragging things around to set up parent and child bookmarks. When I right click on a bookmark and select "print page(s)" all that prints is the first page of the section that is bookmarked. How do I set it up so the whole range of pages is associated with the bookmark and will print?

Bookmarks do not mark a series of pages to print but provide a navigation aid that go to a page, go to an article, go to a destination, go to a URL, open another PDF, save a PDF, and whole bunch of other menu or JavaScript actions.

You can create a bookmark that could print a series of pages by you will need to edit the JavaScript action for that bookmark and specify the range of pages.
