Hullo guys,

I have a pdf file, including a font called "AdvP405B6" (from document properties). it caused problems when copying and pasting into Word file. When searching over Google, I couldn't find such font at all, so I guess I may find an answer here

Anybody knows about such font, and how to deal with such font problem?!

I am using ver. Reader 6, Word 2003.

Thanks
Sam

Don't know about the font, but in Word, there is a choice under "paste" called "paste special". There you can select Paste as Unformatted Text which will paste your copied text into your document in whatever font is in your Word document.

You need to select that choice from the menu, control-v will only paste it the usual way which is not what you want in this case.

Hope this helps....

Acrobat is probably the program I use most often and I'm learning more every day.

Thanks carrimak for help, but i m afraid this doesn't help either. When selecting such option you mentioned it placed each line on the top of a separate page, causing problems to the document. it is a font problem i believe, and the file does not accept copying and pasting at all!

I have typed what i wanted any way, but i thought discussing it here may offer help for others :-)

Thanks anyway

I had a similiar problem at work but with Russian. The solution was to save the PDF as an HTML doucment and then cut and paste from the HTML document.

I have upgraded to Acrobat Professional 9 from Acrobat Standard 6. I find that using the version 9's Tools, Select and Zoom, and Snapshot Tool to copy a portion of a PDF page and then pasting into it into a Microsoft Word version 2007 file does not produce a visibly sharp image as it was using Acrobat version 6 -- the text and image is fuzzy. I am copying a table, and not simply text. What is the best way to copy a portion of a PDF page to copy onto another software such as Word?

I think only install that font on your computer, otherwise, the contents in Word could not be recognized. I use Copy and Paste and PDF to Word Converter to do that simliar work but only find I could not read in Word.

I will try my best to help you in PDF converison fields, objectively and Neutral.
