We have Adobe 9.0 Pro and also have a .pdf with the companies letterhead.

How do you write a letter using the existing .pdf with the letterhead?

I tried to use the typewriter and it just takes all the text and pushes it together as though if was a form when I try to print.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks.

First of all, you should realize that Acrobat is not a text editor.
You should write the letter in a different application (such as Word), and then convert it to PDF.
The letterhead should be a part of the original document, but it can also be added later on directly to the PDF as a background image.

Ok.

I can write the letter using MS Word and then convert to a .pdf.

How can the letterhead be added as a background?

Remember, I am new at all this Adobe stuff. Word...........no problems.

Thanks for the start.

Don't have it in front of me right now, but if I remember correctly it's under the Document menu, add background.

OK.

Tried and the print screen picked up the document and also the headings of Adobe.

Any suggestions?

The nice thing to do is to print screen the object then paste it in to the MSword....and convert accordingly.....:)
I guess this wasn't the correct and easy way to accomplish the original post.

Unless, you can explain your way??
