Removing hyperlinks

When I used an older version of Acrobat, there was an option to remove hyperlinks from web captures. I can't find this option on Acrobat Pro 9. Can anybody here help? I already searched Acrobat's Help, Adobe.com's knowledge base and Googled for the info without any luck.

Hi silverbob,
Invalid links may be removed with PDF Optimizer or a Preflight Fixup.
Valid links removal - manually. Or, perhaps with javascript?

While not specifically addressing your question, should you investigate using
a Preflight you may find this article useful as it provides good "show 'n tell".

I just tried the PDF Optimizer. Very strange. Although there is no explicit setting to "remove all hyperlinks", I tweaked a couple settings and ended up with what I wanted - no active hyperlinks. Too bad Adobe did away with the straight-forward option to accomplish this.
