Hi I'm new to creating forms but have created a couple that seemed to work, until recently. I included a number of required fields and if users tried to save the form a message was displayed to show that a field was required.
However, for some reason this no longer happens and fields can be left blank.
I'm not aware of anything that has changed, but could you offer any advice as to what to check. The field properties have the box ticked as required.
Thank you.

The required-property only comes into play when the file is submitted, not when it's saved.

Thank you for the reply.
This has worked without a submit button before. We use to be able to complete the form, go to the file menu and select attach to email. It was at this point that the message was displayed for any blank fields. having had success with this I have been asked to create other forms, but now even the previous forms don't work as they did.
Could i have change some properties or settings somewhere?

Is this being done in Reader? If so, did you enable the Extended Reader Rights for this file?
Without these rights, the filled-in file can't be saved.

Workers completing the form use Reader (V9), and the form has been set with enhanced user rights.
The blank forms are available from a shared network drive, on a Citrix platform.
Thank you for your support and help with this.
