resetting font size in Free Text

For some reason the text I type with the free text tool is HUGE, I have been unable to find a way to reset the font size (Acrobat 5.0). I use this to fill out forms and it looks pretty crude sending back a form with a font size the size of Texas.

Krys,
It has been some time since I've used Acrobat 5; however, there may be a configuration setting that can be edited in Preferences.
Worth a look.
