Saving PDF as JPEG with Adobe Acrobat X Standard

I'm using a PDF underlay in AutoCAD, but the PDF underlay slows AutoCAD down too much. CAD users say to convert PDF to JPEG. I'm using Adobe Acrobat X Standard. When I "Save As" JPEG, I get an error: "The image is too wide to output. Please crop it or reduce resolution and try again.(Page1)" I could not find where Adobe X would let me reduce the resolution nor corp, even if I wanted to. These images were scanned on a XEROX wide format scanner to a PDF file. The original paper size is 30" x 42". Is there any way to convert this PDF to a JPEG?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard, Windows
