I am running both Windows Vista and XP (2 separate computers) with Acrobat 8. While Acrobat 8 recognizes the scanner, once I try to create a pdf it shuts down. It does this on both computers. It worked fine with this scanner when I had Acrobat 6. I have re-installed 3 or 4 times now

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Make sure the current and up-to-date drivers are install for the scanner. Could you also provide information on the scanner you are using. Also at what point does it shut down?
