I am using Acrobat 10 with a Xerox Documate 510. when i scan a black and white document it comes out with a black background and white text.

Something to check. Review the DocuMate 510's User Guide to determine how to configure the interface for b/w scans. Check to see if the device's "Invert Image" option is selected for use.

Scanning from HP4500 to Acrobat 9 Pro on an XP machine Blk and White written doc's load correctly. When scanning a one page Blk and White drawing it loads correctly. When scanning a 9 page drawing at one time the Acrobat program locks up. I have hard booted both computer/printer and the problem still exists. Looked at the tutorials 'troubleshoot scanning and OCR' but did not find an answer. This problem is new since I have commonly scanned multi page drawings and docs without difficulty. Thank you
