scrolling

I have asked this question before as a viewing question, I got an answer, so I will try again differently. While scrolling through a PDF document, if I stop for a moment and then continue scrolling, the document view is broken and I see the toolbar of Adobe 8 along with the part of the desktop background. Also when I select some funtions, like comments, a small portion of the screen will show the desktop background and it will breakup again while scrolling as previously mentioned. I tried having the document open in its own view, but the problem still exists. I am running Windows XP pro and did a reinstall of Adobe 8 pro. I also uninstalled previous version of the Adobe reader. I don't what to do next. Please help.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8, Windows

Hi SmokeStackLightin29,

There has been a discussion about this on the Adobe User forums with fixes that have worked for some people-

I hope that helps solve the problem for you.

This link is now broken and doesn't go anywhere. I'm having a similiar problem with someone in our office. He scrolls using the scroll arrows for 6-8 pages and then the scrollbar dissapears.

He can still scroll using PgUp and PgDn or by clicking through the thumbnails but the scrollbar is now an empty, grey area. The scroll wheel on the mouse also works.

This happens in several documents and it picks random times to stop. My machine doesn't suffer from the same problem. He's updated to 8.1.2.. Attempted a Repair from the Help Menu and rebooted with no success. Also changed screen resolution through the Windows Display dialog box. No success there either.

Hi TekSystemsRep,

I guess they dropped that thread from that forum. But if I remember right, one of the issues was a re-drawing problem caused by the video card in the system. Here is an Adobe KnowledgeBase article about checking the video card and changing some settings to fix the scrolling problem.
