The F1 key activates the Acrobat Help menu. If it's presenting that error message, it could mean your version of Acrobat 5 has been corrupted.

My suggestion: Uninstall then re-install Acrobat 5 then check for updates. Before you do this, run a virus check.

Recent news over the net suggests that hackers have found a way to compromise some types of PDF files. You may want to consider upgrading to version 8.0 which is more secure.

If you're just trying to search the file using keywords, the F1 key will not do that.

My favorite quote - "Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.

thank you Eugene Williams but this problem seems to occure either I press F1 or not and I cannot uninstall then re-install the software because all applications have downloaded automatically from the server. if this is the onley way to solve the problem then I should contact the IT department in my company; I already informed them about the ërror message"and unfortunatlly they have no idea about it. :S
