Search function not working properly?

Can anyone help me with this? When using Search in Adobe Reader 9.3, In the current document marked, no check boxes marked, search does not return all results. For example, the word Accountant might appear 12 times and it find 3 or it may not find the word Payroll at all, but that word is in the file. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance

sounds like you have an OCR'd image file and the OCR text (invisible layer) is flawed. (flaws occur when the original scanned page is of poor image quality). You can examine the OCR'd text by doing a select and copy (with Reader's select text tool) and pasting the clipboard's contents to a blank text file (launch notepad for this purpose).
