I have a question. Is there any rule or violation if I were to design an interactive PDF for a client and collect a fee for service. This PDF would be an interactive brochure with some java script and Video. This brochure would NOT be enabled with rights. But I want to make sure I am not in any violation of my license as a acrobat pro 8 user.

My Product Information:
Acrobat, Windows

Hi grandprix,

Sure you can do that- if you couldn't use Adobe products to make products that you can then sell, that wouldn't be a very good business plan. The proliferation of PDFs that are useful, time-saving, engaging business tools is something I'm sure Adobe would think is good for them as well as you. They provide the tools and you create the products with the tools, for a reasonable profit ( that's pretty much a paraphrase from Adobe's CEO I heard at Adobe MAX last week).

Hope this helps,

Dimitri

I had a somewhat related question regarding a section that was added to the Acrobat 9 license agreement. Section 4.6 specifically, which simply states:

Quote:
4.6 No Service Bureau. You will not use or offer the Software on a service bureau basis.
I'd be interested to hear any opinions on what this might mean, exactly. The term "service bureau basis" is not defined in the agreement or used elsewhere in the agreement. I've found a number of different definitions, so I'm unsure what to make of this.
