Sending emails from Adobe Reader X document

I wish all emails showing in an Adobe Reader X or any Adobe document for that matter to be solely linked to Gmail and none other.

Unfortunately, Windows Live manages to take over and I am in need of the instructions as to how to set the linking system in order that only Gmail shows up when I click on an email address in an Adobe document.

Again, currently Windows Live shows up and I do not wish to use Windows Live as an email client.

I hope this request is clear; please display very detailed instructions showing how to eliminate Windows Live and add Gmail as the email client.

Thank you in advance,

Robert

Try making sure the following is set: Edit > Preferences > Internet > Internet Settings > Programs >Set Program> Set Program Access and Computer Defaults, Custom, Choose a default email program.

Thank you,

Where do I find the first "Edit"? IN which program is that set of preference?

I am sure I will then be able to find the options you mentioned: Preferences > Internet > Internet Settings > Programs >Set Program> Set Program Access and Computer Defaults, Custom, Choose a default email program ...Cordially,

Follow up: I was able to get to the choose default program: Google Chrome, but can not find the "Custom", "Choose a default email program".

Found the Custom and choose a default email program but it does not specify Gmail and "Gmail" as you are aware is embedded in Chrome. I did choose Chrome as default program.

Will reboot and see if that helps. Thanks again for your assistance.

Will advise tonight.

Reboot after making changes suggested above. Still opens an email in Windows Live. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. How can I set Gmail as the default email when linking from a document?

QUOTE:

I found a solution to this.

If you go to pack.google.com and get Google Apps, this will set Gmail as your default email client. You also have the option to put a desktop shortcut for Gmail, Calendar and Docs on you desktop. When you open one of these, it will open sort of like it was a program. UNQUOTE

The above found on a Chrome forum. Posted by BBW.

Thanks to all, problem solved.
