Hi list...

Seemingly simple, but I can't figure it out: how do you set a bookmark to be halfway down the page? Every time I try to set a bookmark to some point down on a page, the bookmark takes me to the top of that page. What am I missing?

thanks,
- Michael M.

set page view to "single page continuous"; position page as desired and create bookmark. Or right click an existing bookmark and "set destination".

Thanks for replying rbogie. I tried exactly that, but each time I do it, it still just sets itself to the top of the next page. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

thanks,

I figured out how to solve this issue. The problem is that set destination doesn't work when the intended location for the bookmark is within the bottom half of the page (bookmark jumps to top of next page).

The solution is to resize the Acrobat window itself. Just grab the bottom edge of the window, and drag up so that the area where the page is isn't in the bottom half anymore!

Hope that helps anyone else with this issue.

that's correct -- when you're setting a bookmark to a position that's more than half way down the page, you must narrow the window's height so that the target page number remains displayed in the page navigation tool and not the number of the following page.
