Hi, I need to copy and paste large manuals into a PowerPoint document, preserving the quality of the document.
In the past, we set the page to 100%, then used the snapshot tool - selecting all on each page in the page thumbnail (control A) view, then copying (control C) and pasting (control V). (We try to avoid mousing because of RSI risk). There were footers on the manuals, so the snapshot tool "saw" the whole page and copied from the top of the header to the bottom of the footer, basically capturing everything.
Some manuals I need to copy have no footer. When we use the method above, the snapshot tool does not see the white space, and Control A only selects the area where there is no white space. This distorts the page when we paste into the PowerPoint placeholder. I know that we can click the upper left corner and drag it to the bottom right corner, but when doing a very large manual, this is very hard on old wrists. I can't reduce the page size to make it fit in the visible part of the screen, and then just click on the page because the quality of the image suffers (it is only about 50%).
Is there a way to force the snapshot tool to copy the whole page including the white space? Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks!
Or another option would be to open the pdf in an image editing software like photoshop, resize the pdf to the desired size that needs to be place in power point, save it as a jpeg and then place it in power point.
I do not know how to force the snapshot tool to copy the whole page, other than by dragging.
