Hi pdboddy,

According to the info on this Adobe web page for Acrobat 9, it launches over 2X faster than previous versions-

Hope this helps,

Yes, I have read that, and had seen it in the press releases.

I'm just wondering if someone who's beta tested or something could speak to this point or not. I don't know if an NDA would prevent people from saying whether it's faster or not...

It's faster. It's available to the public now. I have the retail version installed. I click my APEX icon and it just opens. No waiting for plug-ins to load or whatnot, and that includes having four of my own plug-ins installed.

I have a form with lots of scripts and it's about 3 times slower loading in 9 than in 8.2.1. That's on an XP machine and a Vista machine, same slow loading. I'm looking for help on speeding my form up because of that.

I forgot to mention, it's only slow loading if I turn on the "priviledges" which I need to do so the user can save the form.

Thanks, Rod
